First beginning his writing journey at age 11, Gage began to jot down numerous story ideas for video games across multiple genres and styles. During high school, he operated a Facebook group called "Virus" where he would upload one chapter of a zombie survival story each week. The story ran from 9th grade until 12th, but is no longer online.

After brief forays with Wattpad writing, Gage began work on his debut novel in 2018, and self-published it on Amazon in 2022.

With a childhood filled with awe as he watched heroes of history and legend defeat the forces of evil time and time again, Gage has a near encylcopedic knowledge of nerd culture.
